I’ve seen all the major categories for the Oscars this year, with the exception of “Minari,” which I will have seen by April 24th. There are a few categories that I have no idea whatsoever, and those I have left blank All others, I have selected a winner with an “X” beside it.
I was not a fan of “Nomadland,” but it obviously has the most pre-Oscar wins. My favorite films of the nominated ones were “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Promising Young Woman” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7.”
As for the Best Performances by an actress, I’d have to say that Vanessa Kirby and Audra Day deserve it more than their more well-known nominees.
Here are my picks for 2021, a very bad year for movies.
