Very nice article. I agree that the experience was very tame and boring. It was a far cry from the Democratic caucus we attended in 2008 and 2004.

Great article, Connie. I agree with you about Newt; I don’t think he will get the nomination. If he does, I think the Democrats (myself among them) should be very relieved that President Obama is not facing Mitt Romney, whom I feel is a much stronger candidate.

I have known this woman for many years, since our days at the University of Iowa. She has always possessed a very quick mind and a highly developed sense of humor. She is fun to be around. She is my only friend who has ever played an accordion in a bookstore while wearing Heidi braids. She can write about anything. She has written serious political pieces, reviewed many movies, written horror stories and described her own life experiences. Connie is one in a million. Besides that, she is a very, very good friend to me and to anyone who gives her a chance.
