I thought the movie was excellent. All actors were fabulous and I agree that a child let alone the sister of the murdered girl would hold onto information she just gotten from the murder’s home but remember she is in shock because her mother had just gotten home. Still I think any child would scream at the top of their lungs with this knowledge. The movie did move slowly especially in the in between. When I first watched the movie I didn’t pick up on every clue that would later mean something to the story but I think that part was wonderfully and creatively done. Watch it more than once and pay close attention, you might start to see things differently.

Hello. I just went to say i thought the movie was a little slow, but still excellent. Having not read the book, I can’t say I know how much they changed the movie. However, I thought it was an excellent, excellent movie. The cast was fantastic, and I absolutely adored Reece Ritchie playing Ray Singh. Saiorse Ronan was also fantastic. Thank you for your review however. Just to be safe, I got this rented when it came out, instead of going to the movies. Thank you for your post!

As usual, good, thorough review (I tend to trust your judgement as we occasionally see movies together and I think our tastes are similar). I just put “Heavenly Creatures” on my Netflix list. I’ve read Anne Perry but didn’t know the “skinny” on her early life.
